Cartagena International Auditorium

Architects: José Selgas and Lucía Cano

El Batel Auditorium and Conference Palace is a large cultural infrastructure located in the port of Cartagena, which opened in late 2011..

The building was designed by the Selgascano architecture office, consisting of the architects José Selgas and Lucía Cano from Madrid, and this project was selected for an international competition held in 2001. It has been conceived as a versatile building, used as a theatre, concert hall and congress centre.

FAIN installed there 5 lifts (one of them panoramic) and a JS-LB 1000 escalator.

It is worth noting that it was the customer who defined the final colours of the cabins, personally choosing the RAL colours for each one, with the aim of matching them with to the building’s design and aesthetics.
