Lifts are a means of transport that we use on a daily basis, and the wear and tear caused by regular use has an impact on their performance and efficiency. Specifically, the average service life is around 12-25 years, which is when the lift should be replaced.
There are obvious signs that warn us and evidence the necessary replacement of a lift: systems over 20 years old constantly breaking down, where repairs are increasingly frequent and costly. In fact, spare parts for systems that have not been manufactured for more than 10 years might legaly been discontinued. As a result, repairs might be difficult to carry out and sometimes are not as perfect as might be expected.
If your system spends more time broken down than working, we recommend that you consider a complete replacement. Remember that a total renovation or replacement of the lift has multiple benefits: more safety, less breakdowns (and less costs), new functionalities, greater energy efficiency, more gentleness and quieter, and superior, modern finishes suited to the new times.
